Paramount Releases More ‘Friday the 13th’

The tales of Camp Crystal Lake continue June 16 when Paramount Home Entertainment releases three more films from the “Friday the 13th” franchise as deluxe edition DVDs at $16.99 each.

The first three films of the fan-favorite series were given deluxe treatment and released Feb. 3. They include Friday the 13th Uncut; Friday the 13th Part 2; and Friday the 13th Part 3, 3-D.

The June 16 installment will include Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter, Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning and Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives.

The Final Chapter features performances from Corey Feldman and Crispin Glover. The DVD bonus features include the retrospective featurette “Jason’s Unlucky Day: 25 Years After Friday the 13th The Final Chapter”; commentary from the film’s director, screenwriter and editor; fan commentary by directors Adam Green and Joe Lynch; “Lost Tales from Camp Blood — Part IV”; “The Crystal Lake Massacres Revisited Part I”; deleted scenes; and more.

A New Beginning includes director commentary with cast and crew, a making-of featurette, “Lost Tales from Camp Blood — Part V,” “The Crystal Lake Massacres Revisited Part II,” deleted scenes and more.

Jason Lives also includes director commentary with cast and crew and a making-of featurette as well as “Lost Tales from Camp Blood — Part VI,” “The Crystal Lake Massacres Revisited Part III,” deleted scenes and more.

Also available June 16 are Blu-ray Disc versions of Friday the 13th Part 2 and Friday the 13th Part 3, 3-D at $29.99 each.
