Borders Starts Sci-Fi Blog

10 Jun, 2009 By: Billy Gil

Borders has begun a science-fiction blog called “Babel Clash,” which “proudly features the geekiest debates in the galaxy,” according to the bookstore chain.

The blog, accessible at scifi.bordersblog.com, is moderated by Borders sci-fi buyer Morgan Burns and will invite authors and guest contributors to engage in debates on sci-fi books, movies, graphic novels and more. A new guest contributor will be featured about every two weeks.

Additionally Borders has launched a “Borders Ink” Facebook page, on teen literature and graphic novels; The Borders Books Facebook page, with author interviews, book recommendations and exclusive content; and is now on Twitter.

“We’re always exploring new ways to connect with readers about books, music and movies,” said Rich Fahle, VP of Borders.com. “By engaging on Facebook and Twitter, we’re not only taking our conversation viral, but we’re going where readers are already hanging out.”
