With the dog days of summer just around the corner, retailers such as Target and Walmart have marked down prices on a myriad of consumer electronics, including Blu-ray Disc players.
Target, as part of its special “Black Friday” pricing on Fridays, is offering online only the Philips (BD-P5012) non-Internet-connected Blu-ray Disc player with HDMI cable for $99.99.
Walmart is selling the same unit (online only) for $98 without HDMI cable. Amazon is selling the Vizio VBR100 for $87.99.
RadioShack.com is selling refurbished Samsung (BD-P1590) units for $89.99 each and the Magnavox (NB500MG1F) player for $99.99. Both models can be shipped to a local Radio Shack store for pick up.
Locally in Southern California, Paul’s TV (www.paulstv.com) is offering select Blu-ray players for $99.99.
