Questar to Release 5 Blu-ray Combos in April

Who says Blu-ray Disc combo packs are just for the major studios?

Questar Entertainment will release five Blu-ray combo pack titles in April, including DVDs and digital copies for the PC and Apple products. Streeting April 20 (order date March 16) are the “Nature” titles Amazing Places: Hawaii and Amazing Places: Africa; Best of Travel: Australia & New Zealand; and two “Scenic Walks Around the World” titles, Our Dramatic Planet and Historic Pathways. Each title is listed at $34.99.

“When we discovered that many of our customers still wanted to watch our new HD content on DVD and on mobile devices, it was a natural to do the combo packs,” said Ken Campo, SVP and manager of West Coast operations for Questar. “Now customers can watch our content when, where and how they want it.”

Noting that it’s the first special interest DVD and Blu-ray company to try out combo packs, Kevin Silverman, VP of programming and development for Questar, added that the combo packs will “introduce a new group of consumers to the benefits of having Blu-ray and digital copies, in addition to standard DVDs.”
