‘Monsters, Inc.’ and ‘A Bug’s Life’ Coming to Blu-ray

Two more Pixar animation features — 1998’s A Bug’s Life and Monsters, Inc. — will see Blu-ray Disc releases May 19 from Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment.

Each two-disc Blu-ray will feature a DisneyFile digital copy and a host of new bonus features.
 
For A Bug’s Life, director John Lasseter offers an introduction and sits down in a roundtable about the film with co-director Andrew Stanton and producers Kevin Reher and Darla Anderson. Also included is an animation of the storyboards from the original story, and three Disney BD Live features: Movie chat, mail and messages.

Monsters, Inc. brings together director Pete Docter, co-director Lee Unkrich, producer Darla Anderson and actor Bob Peterson for a filmed roundtable. An interactive game, “Roz’s 100 Door Challenge,” throws mini-games, trivia and puzzles at players. Also included are BD Live movie chat, mail and messages, and a sneak peek at the new Monsters Inc. attraction at Disneyland Tokyo.

The Blu-ray is priced at $40 and original bonus features from the DVD releases are also included.
