NCR Corp. March 11 said it has upgraded the Blockbuster Express Web site so consumers can now rent online up to three DVD movies at a time and pick up at the nearest kiosk – a first among self-serve vendors.
Duluth, Ga.-based NCR is manufacturing and installing 10,000 Blockbuster Express DVD rental kiosks in the United States this year through a license agreement with Dallas-based Blockbuster.
The rental icon is incorporating kiosks into a multiplatform offering that allows consumers to rent and buy new release DVDs and Blu-ray Discs in-store, online, digitally and vending.
Blockbusterexpress.com lets customers create favorite lists and rental queues, in addition to identifying a “preferred kiosk,” so that whenever they look for DVDs online, they automatically browse movies available at the kiosk most convenient to them.
The site also allows customers to locate titles at other local Express kiosks even if they are checked out at their preferred kiosk. Through the new reserve option, customers can pay online with their credit card and pick up their DVD at a selected kiosk. Movies can be returned to any Express location.
NCR is offering one night of free rental through March 31 by using the code “GY131” when renting at blockbusterexpress.com. The promotion is not valid at Blockbuster stores.
“Through our new Web experience, our customers will find a faster and easier way to rent a DVD at the same [$1 per night] price,” said Alex Camara, VP and GM, NCR Entertainment.

I have been renting DVD's thru redbox using their online reserved for 2 years. I can search to see which kiosks have the movies I want.

Again, what is keeping children from renting R and NC-17 movies form the machines. Credit cards are nothing. Kids come into my store with parents credit cards and use them all he time I rent. Where is the accountably. How lasy is this "New" generation of young men and woman. I have been told by friends of the kiosk users that these people have been refused service because of lasy return habits. 50 and over are honest.30-50 are 50 percent honest. under they shut the doors because they are so lasy, the only rent from kiosks because they are useless slugs on the economy. policy.

Nice to see some new options in the market! I have also been using RedBox's website for a while, but like the features on the Blockbuster Express. Good to have options, nice job Blockbuster.
