Blockbuster has launched the “Good Grades, Free Rental” program giving children in kindergarten through 12th grade with an ‘A’ or ‘B’ average a free Blockbuster Favorites (catalog) rental.
“Blockbuster wants to help show students one of life's great lessons: hard work has its rewards,” said Justin Lewis, chief marketing officer for Blockbuster. “We hope the ‘Good Grades, Free Rental’ program will give teachers and parents another tool to provide positive reinforcement to school-age kids.”
Students qualify for one free DVD rental per grading period by bringing their report card, within 30 days of being issued and signed by a parent or legal guardian, to a Blockbuster store.
