Mark Nadolny

Mark Nadolny, SVP of operations at Blockbuster Inc., has left the Dallas-based No. 1 DVD rental service to become CFO of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, a leading breast cancer organization.

A 13-year veteran at Blockbuster, Nadolny held several senior leadership positions, including in financial planning, store finance and accounting, supply chain and merchandising.

It wasn’t immediately clear whom Blockbuster would name to assume Nadolny’s position.

The executive is no stranger to Susan G. Komen, having served as the Blockbuster team captain for the Susan G. Komen Dallas Race for the Cure for many years. In his new role, Nadolny will be responsible for financial management and strategy for Dallas-based Komen, which has invested more than $1.3 billion into breast cancer research and community support programs since its inception.

“We are so fortunate to have such an experienced professional and passionate breast cancer advocate as part of our leadership team,” said Hala Moddelmog, president and CEO of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Blockbuster spokesperson Randy Hargrove said an unnamed replacement had assumed Nadolny’s position.

“Mark was a valued Blockbuster employee for a number of years and we wish him the best in his new position with Susan G. Komen,” Hargrove said.
