Stars Steve Coogan.

British comedian Steve Coogan is a superstar in his home country but is often overshadowed in America by the likes of Ricky Gervais or Russell Brand.

Appearances in hit films such as Tropic Thunder and the “Night at the Museum” movies have certainly increased his stateside profile, and now BBC is hoping to capitalize with this boxed set of practically everything he’s ever done for them.

The set includes the talk show spoof “Knowing Me, Knowing You With Alan Partridge,” its follow-up, “I’m Alan Partridge,” “Dr. Terrible’s House of Horrible,” “The Tony Ferrino Phenomenon,” “Coogan’s Run,” “Paul and Pauline Calf’s Video Diaries” and “Paul and Pauline Calf’s Cheese and Ham Sandwich.”

It also has my personal favorite, “Saxondale,” in which Coogan plays an ex-roadie who now runs his own pest-control business. The dialogue is so acerbic that most viewers would be content enough just to sit back with a smile on their face and take in the atmosphere of levity.
