'The Witch' Casts a Spell Over 2016 Reaper Awards

Lionsgate’s The Witch earned the top honor at the 2016 Reaper Awards competition, taking the Horror Title of the Year trophy. The critically lauded horror film also earned Choice Theatrical Cut and Best Big Bad for the character of Black Phillip the Goat.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment’s The Final Girls won Best Limited Release/Direct-to-Video Title, while Best Title From the Vault went to Shout! Factory’s Army of Darkness — Collector's Edition.

Best Collection went to 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment’s The X-Files Collector's Set.

The Reaper Awards, presented by Home Media Magazine and DreadCentral.com, honored the top horror and thriller titles released between Aug. 1, 2015, and July 31, 2016. Studios submitted contenders for consideration by a panel of judges in conjunction with a consumer vote.
