Amazon-owned subscription VOD service LoveFilm has expanded its content deal with BBC Worldwide, bringing more TV series to subscribers of the service.
The agreement will bring the first series of “Luther,” Golden Globe winner “The Office” (United Kingdom version), “Extras,” “Primeval,” “Jonathan Creek,” “Top Gear” and other new and catalog TV shows to LoveFilm in 2013.
“The evolution of our TV offering has been unstoppable over the past year,” said Jim Buckle, managing director at LoveFilm. “We kicked off 2012 by announcing a new deal with BBC Worldwide, and it is great to see in 2013 by adding to that agreement. We’ve got some of the best British TV content ever made, and we’re first choice for TV fans who want good, quality shows, instantly.”
LoveFilm already offers “Doctor Who,” “Ashes to Ashes,” “Spooks,” “Whitechapel,” “Planet Earth” and other BBC Worldwide series.
