Best Buy's 'Rio' 3D Blu-ray

Finding a copy of 20th Century Fox’s latest animated hit, Rio, wasn’t a problem on its debut Aug. 2. But if you wanted to get a Blu-ray copy in 3D, you had to go to Best Buy.

In addition to Rio, Best Buy also is the exclusive home for 3D versions of The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader and Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, at $29.99 each. Best Buy offered a $10 savings with the purchase of any two, and $15 off with the purchase of all three.

Another Best Buy exclusive involved a free T-shirt with purchase of HBO’s Eastbound & Down: The Complete Second Season on DVD or Blu-ray.

Target offered an $8 savings with the purchase of Rio on DVD or Blu-ray and a $15.99 Blu-ray combo pack of either Ramona and Beezus, Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel, The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader or Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs.

Those who bought Eastbound & Down: The Complete Second Season at Target received an exclusive cast Q&A.

Walmart’s exclusive centered on Sony Pictures’ Soul Surfer, with a two-pack of the DVD and the film’s soundtrack available for $24.96.
