Oct. 12 marked a quiet day for new releases, with most stores anticipated huge interest in the Oct. 15 release of How to Train Your Dragon on DVD and Blu-ray.
Even so, most didn’t go above and beyond to promote the DreamWorks Animation title. Target gave Dragon a prime spot in its weekly ad circular (with no mention of the week’s other major theatrical release, Warner’s Jonah Hex).
Best Buy offered a kid’s movie ticket to the upcoming Megamind with purchase of the Dragon double-DVD pack or Blu-ray.
