Panasonic is reportedly again partnering with 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment for another 3D Blu-ray Disc release — this time, James Cameron’s blockbuster Avatar, due in December.

The film will be bundled this winter with a variety of retail offerings surrounding the Panasonic Viera plasma 3DTV, according to Twice magazine. The all-time box office champion with more than $2.7 billion in ticket sales was re-released theatrically Aug. 27 for a limited run.

Panasonic and Fox earlier this year teamed to offer a $25 rebate to consumers who purchased Avatar on DVD or Blu-ray as well as either a Panasonic Blu-ray Disc Player or home entertainment system. Panasonic Hollywood Labs authored Avatar on DVD and Blu-ray.

In March, Panasonic bundled Fox’s Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs in 3D Blu-ray Disc with its 3D plasma home theater system at select Best Buy retailers via its in-store Magnolia Home Theater.
