Mitsubishi April 8 introduced its new lineup of HDTVs, including a series of large-screen TVs that are all 3-D ready. The Home Theater TV series come in sizes of 60-inch, 65-inch, 75-inch and 82-inch and can handle 3-D content.
“As the home theater market continues to flourish and the cinema space continues to embrace 3-D, we clearly see 3-D-Ready Home Theater TVs playing a key role in meeting consumers craving for the best and most advanced home theater experience,” said David Naranjo, director of product development for Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America.
The 3-D ready HDTVs are available in stores now. The largest size has a price tag of $4,999.
Mitsubishi also unveiled its new flat-panel lineup, branded as Unisen, shipping in May. The HDTVs have 5.1, 16-speaker systems built in, and come in sizes from 42 to 52 inches.
“Mitsubishi is a unique television brand, and in a virtual sea of flat-panel TV offerings, so too is our new Unisen Immersive Sound Television,” said Frank DeMartin, VP of marketing for Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America. “Unisen was built upon the principle of uniting world-class video imagery with fully integrated immersive sound technology to streamline and efficiently enhance the consumer’s home theater entertainment experience.”
Prices for the flat-panels range from $1,799 to $3,299.
